Stephen was born in Zambia where he played on the national tennis team from the age of 13. He played ITF junior tournaments and had a world ranking at the age of 16. Stephen then attended Concordia College in Bronxville, NY, where he played #1 singles and doubles on the men’s team and graduated with a B.A. in Behavioral Science and an A.A.S. in Business Administration. Stephen played professional tennis and held a ATP world ranking. During that time he also played Davis Cup for Zambia and captained the team against Monaco. Stephen has been teaching tennis for over 20 years, mostly in Westchester, NY, at a number of clubs including College Racket Club, New York Athletic Club, and Joel Ross Tennis Academy. Recently, Stephen has also spent three years teaching in Melbourne, Australia.
